Franmil Reyes has made a strong first impression since the Cubs claimed him off waivers from the Guardians, including a home run Saturday.

He added a single in the fifth, which made him 5-for-11 in his first three games as a Cub.

Reyes, who hit at least 30 home runs in each of the last full big-league seasons, was waived by Cleveland last week after hitting just .213 with nine homers and a .603 OPS in 70 games this year and earning a minor-league demotion. All-Star Ian Happ, who drove in a third run for the Cubs with a fifth-inning single, added a three-run homer in the seventh.
