Reward for winning CCAA tournament
Blake Seitz and the Cal State San Marcos men’s basketball team came up big Saturday night, beating No. 1-seeded Cal State San Bernardino to win the CCAA tournament championship.
Other matchups in the West Regional are: No. 4 Point Loma Nazarene vs. No. 5 Azusa Pacific ; No. 2 Cal State San Bernardino vs. No. 7 Cal Poly Pomona and No. 3 Chico State vs. Academy of Art .Seitz, a Ramona High product, had 25 points and seven rebounds in the championship game and was named the tournament’s MVP. Jayce McCain and Alex Gil-Fernandez of the Cougars were named to the all-tournament team.
