The rail regulator is to prosecute Transport for London for health and safety failings relating to the 2016 Croydon tram crash, which killed seven people and injured 61
The Office of Rail and Road is also prosecuting the driver, Alfred Dorris, and the FirstGroup-owned Tram Operations Limited, which runs the service on TfL’s behalf.TfL and Tram Operations Limited are alleged by the ORR to have failed to ensure the health and safety of passengers on the network, so far as reasonably practicable.
