Here's everything you need to know ahead of Saturday's New Balance Shore Coaches Invitational
Runners compete in the NJSIAA North 2, Group 2 boys cross country sectionals at Oak Ridge Park in Clark on Saturday, October 29, 2022.The cross-country season nears its mid-way point, also meaning its time for one of the season’s best and biggest meets.
The New Balance Shore Coaches Invitational returns to Holmdel this Saturday with almost the entire Garden State set and ready to compete. NJ.com has got you covered with everything you’ll need to know before the action starts, including previews of all 13 races which you can find below.The meet returns to Holmdel Park, just a few minutes off the Garden State Parkway. The Monmouth County Park System maintains the 500 acre park and the 5K and 2-mile cross-country courses. Both courses cover challenging hills as well as maintained trails. The course for the 5K also features the infamous Bowl.
There will be no parking at Holmdel park itself, aside from handicapped. Spectator parking will be available at Bell Works . There will be a free shuttle providing transportation to and from the park.The meet will get underway at 9:00 AM, starting with JV races. The first off the Varsity races will start at 9:30, taking an intermission around 11:05 AM to run freshman and more JV races.
