I attended Crosby United Methodist Church growing up. Cougar Grad Class . United States Marine Corps 2005 to 2010 Honorably Discharged. Bachelors of Science in Management. Currently employed locally.The main reason is my kids are coming up and I realize the reason I am where I am today is partly due to the great school district I came up in. I would like that to be the same for my kids as well as others. I would like to help improve all facets of CISD.
I have seen good door security systems with bullet proof class that allows parents to sign in first before ever coming into the reception area. It is currently working well in my brother’s kid’s school in Oklahoma. A good measure to keep out deranged individuals but not the only avenue to ensure safety and security.
I fully support the Texas School Marshal program HB 1009. I do not believe in restricting the rights of the teachers or staff from protecting themselves or their students if they choose to. History tells me what happens to society when government takes our ability to fight back.All thoughts and ideas that students bring to the school boards attention will be handled with the same respect as the community. It will be discussed, decided on and action taken in a timely manner.
