That being said, considering the specifics of Gibson's exit, his proposed return isn't going to be as simple as him reprising his role as Hotch. Unlike Shemar Moore and Matthew Gray Gubler who both opted out of the series, Gibson was booted out following multiple set issues and with clear anger management issues. If Paramount+ brings back the actor, there needs to be proof that he has addressed these problems before being brought back in Criminal Minds: Evolution.
