A fire service spokesperson said the incident was ongoing and involved two properties in Donnington Drive.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue said it received reports of the fire in Donnington Drive at around 4.35pm on Monday.
Three fire appliances including the aerial ladder platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Telford Central.
