Police and paramedics were called to the collision on Blackburn Road on Wednesday afternoon
Emergency services were called to a busy Lancashire road following a crash between a van and a lorry.
Lancashire Police said they were alerted shortly after 2pm on Wednesday to the collision on Blackburn Road, Higher Wheelton. A picture of the incident was shared on social media and showed it involved a British Gas van. The van was left with a crumpled bonnet while damage was also caused to the front of the van. Debris can be seen strewn on the road which was blocked in both directions.One person commented on the picture saying "Wow that looks nasty" while another said: "Hope there’s no serious injuries."
A police spokesperson told LancsLive: "It was Blackburn Road, Higher Wheelton. Call came at 2.06pm, road traffic collision involving a lorry and a van. Minor injuries."
