Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi says MPs will review the current COVID restrictions on Wednesday, but adds that 'at the moment, there is nothing in the data that would suggest to me, to us, that we need to go further'.
In a Twitter thread, Mr Zahawi reassured people that in-person teaching will"continue to be the expected norm" and praised teachers for their"herculean effort".

Oksana Pyzik, of UCL's infectious diseases programme, told Sky News the new filters were a"good start", describing them as"one of the most effective ways" of mitigating COVID in schools.
