A man has been ordered to pay £716 after being found guilty of threatening or abusive words or behaviour at Watford Junction.
After committing the offence at the station on October 25, 2022, Mohammad Hazrat was sentenced by St Albans Magistrates’ Court on September 5.
The charge of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress was proved in his absence before Hazrat, of Gaddesden Crescent in Watford, was fined £440. The 24-year-old was also ordered to pay a £176 victim services surcharge and £100 in costs for a total of £716 which is due to be paid by October 3.
He had also been charged with trespassing on the tracks at Watford Junction on the same day, but this was withdrawn.
