George died as a result of the blast at his home, while his parents, Vicky Studholme and Stephen Hinds, were also injured and later discharged from hospital.
Emergency services rushed to Mallowdale Avenue in Heysham, Lancashire, at around 2.40am on May 16 following reports of an explosion.
Lancashire Police said a criminal investigation assisted by gas experts revealed the blast had been caused by a gas pipe which had been cut in the property next door.The Greenhams, who now live in Ambleside Avenue, Lancaster, have been charged with manslaughter and theft.They will appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on January 12.
