The couple spoke of the ordeal
A couple have been left feeling anxious and concerned after their Ring doorbell recorded a strange man outside their front door in the early hours of the morning. Jonathan and Mike Severnsmith, who live in Carlton, reported the footage to police immediately on Saturday, January 15.
"It was the early hours of Sunday morning, my husband and I were relaxing at home watching TV. He noticed at 1am that we had a notification from our Ring app so he looked at the footage on his phone. It shows someone walking up to the door which is a bit of a surprise," Mike said."We didn't know the person on the footage and he didn't appear to be in any distress or anything. We noticed he had something in his hand.
"The other concern we have is that we bought this house about a year ago. Before we bought it, there was an elderly lady living here and the security wasn't like it is now. I shudder to think what would have happened if he had tried to do this while she lived here."
