Coronation Street star Ellie Leach leaves soap after 12 years as Faye Windass makes an emotional exit.
‘People don’t realise – I didn’t even realise – how young it can happen to women. So yeah, I have done a lot of research and found out a lot.Faye and Craig have been favourites with many fans, with viewers relieved to see them finally become a couple – but the road has been a bumpy one.
‘Obviously [as part of the storyline] Craig and Faye have had their ups and downs’, Ellie continued in our interview, reflecting on the journey between the characters so far.‘With all the recent mood swings and stuff, Faye’s been quite horrible to Craig and I don’t like it! I’m like, “this isn’t real! Please don’t think I’m being nasty to you!” I don’t like being nasty to him but obviously we know it’s not real.
Sadly, it looks like she is going to be nasty to Craig again – with her plans to start a new life with Jackson and Miley. Ellie has already filmed her final scenes, which will air in coming weeks. Coronation Street did not have a comment to make when approached by Metro.co.uk. There have been a number of exits from the show recently, with two characters already been murdered by serial killer Stephen Reid ,
