Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has given a fresh insight into his 'unglamorous' recovery after going under the knife towards the end of last year. The actor revealed on social media that he was having surgery in November to fix an ACL injury.
At the time, Alan, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, shared a picture of himself pre-surgery and said at the time: "ACL Reconstruction surgery . Well, On Friday I underwent ACL reconstruction surgery. I have been told the surgery went really well. I know I have a long 9-12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me but I’m sure with the support of family & friends I’ll get there.
He then shared a video of him being put through his paces in a chair that sees one of his leg in a restraint while the other is expected to kick forward. "Be gentle I said..." Alan typed alongside the video before adding: "Rehab is not glamourous!!" alongside a crying laughing selfie sticker of himself.
The 41-year-old actor shared the funny moment a playful dog attempted to mount him. He posted a picture of the dog, captioning it with a face-in-hand emoji: "Apparently we're not best friends. Most action I've had in a while ffs fml." He then shared another photo with the dog, suggesting it could be his "New Tinder profile picture", joking about a possible return to the dating scene.
