Tony Maudsley has rapidly become a fan-favourite on Coronation Street
The 55-year-old joined the ITV Show cast in 2020 as George Shuttleworth. Currently, he is the main focus of one of the soap's major storylines which saw Todd Grimshaw poached by rival undertakers, RestEast.
George has replaced Todd with Mary was forced to lie that she had started off successfully in Friday's episode. Meanwhile, Todd also had to lie to George because he actually hated his first day at RestEasy when he was forced to take more money from a grieving family, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Tony regularly shares updates with is fans, and one recent post stunned fans who noticed his improved figure. In a pitcture alongside Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd Grimshaw, on fan, Ali, wrote: "Looking very trim Mr M." Theresa posted: "How did you shed Weight" Michelle commented: "Looking so well." On X , Tara said: "George Shuttleworth and Eileen Grimshaw look great after their weight losses. Well done!"
Stevie commented: "George Shuttleworth the Funeral Director hasn’t half dropped some weight, looks well on it, & so much younger." Meanwhile, Bebop tweeted: "Has George lost a load of weight"
