Organisers said the event had been 'pulled by police and authorities'
An unregulated bare knuckle fighting event due to be held in Chorley has been cancelled after a "high volume of complaints".
One complainant told LancsLive before the event was cancelled: "We are not happy with this circus coming to our town with their barbaric ways. We will be doing a protest and... we have reached out to the council and the police too.Organiser Christian Roberts has since confirmed that the event has been cancelled. He said the fight is set to be rescheduled for April and will take place in Yorkshire.
"So we have spoken to fighters and have have agreed the show will happen April 20th in the Yorkshire area. We have been given a venue but will only make public once all licences are in place next week. "We know exactly how hard this job is and just want to provide the best platform for our fighters and fans. So again, massive apologies to all but the new date will be April 20th in Yorkshire.
