CONCORD — Vice Mayor and longtime elected official Laura Hoffmeister pleaded no contest Monday to driving under the influence earlier this year and was sentenced to three years probation, authorities said.by Clayton police after a dinner and wine with friends and was arrested when police determined she had been driving under the influence.
She also will have to serve two days with the Sheriff’s Work Alternative Probation and go to a school dealing with the dangers of alcohol and driving for three months, according to Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office spokesman Ted Asregadoo.
