Ross Farca, 25, was also found guilty of four felonies, including the unlawful manufacturing of an assault weapon.

MARTINEZ – A 25-year-old Concord man will serve five years and eight months behind bars after being found guilty of four felonies and one misdemeanor hate crime late last year, prosecutors said.

The case centered on comments Ross Farca made on the videogame platform Steam in 2019. Using the screen name “Adolf Hitler ))” – a reference to the estimated 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust – Farca said he wanted to kill Jews and police officers with a homemade assault rifle, according to the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office.Authorities searched Farca’s home and found an assault weapon, 13 magazines, bullets, and books about Hitler and Nazism.

Prosecutors said Farca’s sentencing was delayed three times due to mental health diversion hearings. He will serve one year of his sentence in county jail and the remainder in state prison.
