BREAKING: Well, the day has arrived: the high-profile legal battle between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy is here, with Rooney and Vardy both seen arriving to court for what has been dubbed the Wagatha Christie trial.

Now the full trial is expected to begin following months of preliminary hearings – none of which have been attended by either Vardy or Rooney. Since then, several hearings have taken place to prepare for the trial, including one where texts betweenIn February, Rooney’s barrister David Sherborne told the High Court that a ‘series of unfortunate events’ have happened over the evidence in the case, notably Watt’s phone falling into the North Sea.Just last week the High Court was told by Mr Sherborne that Vardy ‘appears to accept’ that Watt was the source of leaked stories about Rooney that were published in The Sun newspaper.
