Shane Gengler travelled on the wrong side of the road and passed through a red light after being clocked without insurance
A cocaine-fuelled driver who crashed into a metal barrier in icy conditions while trying to evade police at high speed has been jailed.
When driving away they checked the vehicle on the Police National Computer and it revealed Gengler wasn't insured. As the officers returned towards the lay-by, Gengler’s car drove off in the direction of Manchester Road and then on to Crown Point Road, Preston Crown Court heard.When the officers illuminated their blue lights, Gengler continued driving at speed on Burnley Road in the direction of Holme Chapel.
