The 800,000-square-foot mall that opened in the late 1970s has a new owner.MUNCY -- The former Lycoming Mall in Lycoming County has a new owner, but a principal of the developer said it could be next spring before any significant work takes place.
Famvest will move as quickly as possible to develop the site but there is a lot of work to be done, Jahanshahi said. Owning the property makes a big difference in conversations with potential tenants, he said. Famvest has a multi-phase plan to convert the mall property into a mixed-use work/live/play site that will include commercial, hospitality, recreational and residential components, he said.
“This has truly been a community effort, and we’d be remiss if we did not thank all the local stakeholders that have assisted us in moving this project forward,” said Ara Kervandjian, vice president of Famvest.
