Cleveland Public Power has received reports of customers experiencing brownouts and low voltage due to high temperatures and humidity.CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Public Power customers are complaining of brownouts and low voltage as temperatures continue to soar on Thursday afternoon.A “couple of hundred” customers were experiencing the issues around 1 p.m., but nearly 1,000 customers are estimated to have been affected earlier in the day.
Power crews currently are out working to correct the issues, but CPP didn’t provide an estimate for when they might be resolved.filling out this online formIn the meantime, CPP is encouraging residents to consider using Cleveland cooling centers as an alternative to staying home. Cooling centers are housed in various recreation centers around the city, and are open through 10 p.m. Thursday night.
