Crews were called out to E. 91st Street and Miles Park Avenue just after 7 a.m.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Multiple firefighters are on the scene of a church fire on the city’s East side and Cleveland Fire Lt. Mike Norman said they are concerned about the “possibility of a collapse” and no firefighters are being sent into the structure.
“We’re trying to keep going to put the fire out, but we don’t want to risk any lives,” said Lt. Norman.Working Fire: A fully engulfed church on E91st street has that Union Miles neighborhood at a standstill while Cleveland Firefighters battled the blaze. There was a roof collapse according to the scanner . E 91st is blocked in both directions.
When crews arrived at the Pentecostal Determine Church of God, they said the building was fully engulfed and a part of the roof was already missing.
