Darius Garland will sign the largest contract in the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers! Photo: Joshua Gunter, clevelanddotcom
It’s the richest deal in Cavaliers history.
In three years with the Cavs, the 22-year-old Garland has averaged 17.4 points on 44.3% shooting and 37.8% from beyond the arc to go with 6.2 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals. If Garland makes any of the three All-NBA teams twice during the length of the contract -- being named one of the top six guards by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters -- that dollar figure gets even bigger, with the youngster becoming “supermax” eligible.
