Neighbors in northwest Columbus are cleaning up after their properties were damaged in a storm Saturday.
Neighbors around Griggs Reservoir said the storm was so powerful they felt like they were in a movie.
"High winds immediately, almost like the Wizard Of Oz when all the cows were flying in the air," Michael Mundey, who lives in the area said.Upper Arlington got slammed with wind and rain. It only lasted for a short time, but wreaked the most havoc. Mundey says his neighbors watched as the storm damaged his property.
"It took out a big chunk of our fence here along the powerlines lightening actually struck this tree," he said. Some folks had more damage than others. Becky Hinga and her husband Bill, who live across the street from Mundey said they were walking around the community, stunned at all the damage."It was just so focused on certain yards and certain houses we just finished a walk and just said oh my goodness how odd," Hinga told us.
With a storm like this, typically, you're unprepared. Mundey says a lot of his neighbors aren't sure what's next."They didn't really give us any clear indication," Mundey said when asked who would be responsible for cleanup, "but from what I can tell we are responsible, I have to call my insurance company."
