Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin calls out Justice Clarence Thomas for falling short of ethics rules that apply to other public servants.

Asked on"Meet the Press" whether he believes that Roberts turned his invitation down, Durbin said that he doesn’t view that as an “official response.” “Early in my tenure at the Court, I sought guidance from my colleagues and others in the judiciary, and was advised that this sort of personal hospitality from close personal friends, who did not have business before the Court, was not reportable,” Thomas said in a statement following the ProPublica report.
