Citibank called the former employee's remarks 'revolting.'

Nozima Husainova was dismissed from her position at the company after watchdog group Stop Antisemitism“No wonder Hitler wanted to get rid of them all,” Husainova wrote with a smiley face emoji. Her comment was in response to a post falsely blaming Israel for a deadly hospital bombing in Gaza this week.

Stop Antisemitism described Husainova's stance as “unbridled antisemitism.” The post was seen more than 1.9 million times, with many in the comments tagging Citi to respond.“We are investigating this matter and taking appropriate disciplinary action. We strongly condemn antisemitism and other hate speech.” Citi later added “Update: We terminated the employment of the person who posted the revolting antisemitic comment on social media.

When reached for comment, a spokesperson for Citibank shared the same response the company posted on social media with The National Desk.
