Christie made his statements after President Donald Trump announced he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said no one wore masks while helping President Donald Trump prepare for Tuesday night's presidential debate against Joe Biden.
"I was at the White House from Saturday afternoon through lunchtime on Tuesday, on and off during those days. I was tested every day I went to the White House," Christie said."The last test I took was on Tuesday morning and I was negative, and I'm going to get a test this morning to see if that status has changed. I feel fine, I don't feel any symptoms at this time, and I obviously hope it remains that way.
He added that he didn't notice any COVID-19 symptoms in Trump or his top aide Hope Hicks, who tested positive for the virus before the president did."Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19," he said on Twitter."We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!"
