17 die from coronavirus in China; WHO considers declaring global health emergency
Six people have died and 291 have been infected in China from a new coronavirus that threatens to spread more during the Lunar New Year travel rush.
“It looks like it doesn’t transmit through the air very easily and probably transmits through close contact,” he said. “That was not the case with SARS.” Fifteen medical workers also tested positive for the virus, the Wuhan Municipal Health Commission has said.
