Chief Wyatt Martin said Hitchcock police officers were serving a warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child to the suspect before he took off in an "18-wheeler-type vehicle," initiating a chase. "I heard gunshots," an eyewitness working in a shop nearby told ABC13. "I saw a man lying on the ground. They were trying to resuscitate him."
