Several hundred Chicago residents protested the city's plan to house illegal immigrants at a public two-year university in the community, which is slated to start next week.
Residents packed out a school auditorium in northwest Chicago on Tuesday night and blasted city officials for plans to house several hundred people in the neighborhood to alleviate pressure on packed police stations that have turned into shelters.“Right now, Wright College is the solution that we need," said Matt Doughtie, emergency coordinator with Chicago's Office of Emergency Management and Communications.
