After several years on the farmer’s market circuit, pastry chef Charles Farrier brings his famed cheesecakes and much more to the Laurel District.

Crumble & Whisk founder and pastry chef Charles Farrier got his start on the Bay Area farmer’s market circuit. Last week, Farriér opened Crumble & Whisk’s first brick and mortar at 4104 Macarthur Blvd., in the Laurel District of Oakland. Farrier, a native of Oakland who jumpstarted Crumble & Whisk via kitchen incubator La Cocina, is offering his a wide range of baked goods and pastries in addition to a breakfast and lunch menu. Soft opening hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
