The cheapest and most expensive areas to rent in Greater Manchester as rent costs continue to soar
Rent costs are continuing to soar across the UK in the midst of the crippling cost of living crisis. According to Zoopla, the average UK rent has hit £1,126 this month which now takes up more than 28 percent of average earnings.
Although rent costs have gone up by 11.6 percent in the last year, the average price to rent is currently £680. Tameside Tameside is also classed as one of the more affordable boroughs to rent, with an average cost of £781 which has risen by 9.5 percent in the last 12 months. Salford Salford also has expensive rent costs, with an average price of £988 which has gone up by 14.2 percent in the last 12 months - - the biggest increase of all 10 boroughs.
