Judge Danilo Lacayo balanced the seriousness of the allegation with the student’s reported but unspecified mental healthhaving likely contributed to his behavior. The judge lowered the bail for Alexander Teran, 18, from $1 million to $100,000.The teen made bond Saturday on a charge of carrying a prohibited weapon, court records show. He is expected to undergo a mental health evaluation at a Harris County hospital to determine if he is a candidate for inpatient care.
