TNT broadcaster Charles Barkley is a popular figure in Dallas thanks to his public support of the Mavericks.
With fans chanting, “We love Chuck!,” Barkley made his way through the crowd on horseback before the 6-foot-6 analyst and 11-time All-Star made a long, albeit successful dismount. When Barkley made his way to the stage to join fellow broadcasters Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal, Barkley revealed he was wearing cowboy boots as well.
Barkley has made it abundantly clear he’s happy to be in Dallas after cheering against the Warriors in their Western Conference semifinals series against the Grizzlies. Barkley called San Francisco “hell” and after Golden State’s Game 1 win, Barkley said “I don’t dislike the area, I hate the area,” on set outside the Chase Center.
