The veteran wide receiver declined to take a pay cut or restructure his contract, according to a person familiar with the trade.
'We're extremely excited to add Keenan to our team,' Bears general manager Ryan Poles said in a statement. 'His body of work speaks for itself and we look forward to him elevating our offense.'Allen is one piece of what has been a busy offseason retailoring the offense. Shane Waldron was hired as offensive coordinator while running back D'Andre Swift and tight end Gerald Everett were added in free agency.Allen has spent his entire 11-year career with the Chargers.
