“A lot of people used to leave from an area of the beach called Loon-Plage, which is between Calais and Dunkirk, where a lot of people used to launch their boat from. “Often the problem is that the boats used to begin with are often incredibly flimsy, poor quality, the engines have a danger of cutting out or not having enough fuel in them. “If you’re on a longer journey, there’s a higher chance you’re going to run out of fuel.
