43-year-old Brody Barrett Kline is accused of sexually assaulting six girls between the ages of 4 and 14.
A York County jury convicted 43-year-old Brody Barrett Kline of 25 counts of child sex abuse charges on Friday, the district attorney’s office announced.
Kline is convicted of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of a person younger than 13, aggravated indecent assault, incest and several other offenses, according to the DA’s office. The charges against Kline stemmed from DNA connecting him to the sexual abuse of several girls, ranging in age from 4 to 14 years old,Court records state that the girls were abused for more than a year, with two of them telling their mother about the abuse in 2019, the York Dispatch reported. At the time, the mother confronted Kline and believed that would stop the abuse, but police say it continued until October 2020 when she discovered semen in one of the girl’s underwear.
“This was a tremendous effort by investigators and prosecutors to find some sense of justice for these young children and their families,” the York County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement Friday. A sexual offender assessment must be completed for Kline, which will factor into his sentencing which is scheduled to occur on Feb. 14, 2023.
