Cassidy Hutchinson, a former Trump White House aide who testified to the House Jan. 6 committee, released a new book discussing her experience and the former president’s impact on the GOP. Hutchinson served as an aide to Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows during final years of Trump’s presidency.
In 2022 House hearing, Hutchinson made several high-profile claims about former President Donald Trump, including that he said Jan. 6 protesters who might have had weapons were “not here to hurt me.” In her book, titled “Enough,” she claimed Meadows burnt papers so often after the 2020 election that his wife said his suits smelled “like a bonfire.”
