Cash hails ‘amazing’ Mbappe, claims ‘England’s best right-back’ Walker ‘the man to stop him’Poland right-back Matty Cash has discussed the torrid afternoon he had up against his “toughest opponent” Kylian Mbappe in France’s 3-1 World Cup last-16 victory.
Aston Villa defender Cash has said Mbappe is the “toughest opponent by far” he has faced in his career and reckons Kyle Walker is the “man to stop” the in-form France forward.“He knows Mbappe is amazing, but I think Kyle Walker is England’s best right-back. So if anyone’s going to stop Mbappe, I think he’s the man to stop him.“I play in the Premier League week-in, week-out and I play against top-class wingers, but he’s easily going to be the best player in the world.
“It’s a massive difference, when he stands you up and moves – he does it really well. When he gets the ball, stops and moves, he’s the quickest thing I’ve ever seen.”He continued: “I said to him at the end ‘can I have your shirt?’ and he gave me it, so I’m delighted with that,” said Cash. “I’m going to frame it.”
