A council has started legal proceedings against the owners of a hotel which is due to house asylum seekers.
Carmarthenshire County Council announced on Tuesday that it was taking action over the material change of use of Llanelli's Stradey Park Hotel & Spa without planning permission.which was met with"silence" and"shock"The Home Office confirmed at the beginning of June that a maximum of 207 people, made up of family groups, will be accommodated across 77 rooms at the hotel.
"The case has been listed for a hearing on 7 July at the High Court at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London.
