The Ever Forward finally on the move again after being stuck for 35 days.

It took 35 days of work to get the Ever Forward out of the mud.

The ship's hull needs to be inspected to make sure there is no damage. When given the all-clear, the ship will make its way to the Port of Baltimore to reload the 500 containers removed during the refloat mission. It will then head to the port in Norfolk, Virginia. For weeks, dredging boats dug up mud, trying to get the ship out.

From April 9 to April 16, 500 shipping containers were removed using crane barges and then brought to the Port of Baltimore. "It was the collaboration of each responding agency, Evergreen Marine Corporation, and dedicated responders resulted in the successful refloating of Ever Forward while ensuring the safety of the public and response personnel, mitigating pollution potential, and minimizing economic impacts."
