A car has crashed into a University of Dundee building with staff and students advised to avoid the area
. Police were called out at roughly 1pm today after the vehicle collided into Dalhousie Building in Park Wynd.
Authorities have yet to confirm if anyone was injured in the smash. In photos of the crash on social media, the yellow vehicle can be seen almost fully inside the building surrounded by debris. In a statement on Twitter, the university said: "There has been an incident at the Dalhousie Building where a car has collided with a wall. Students and staff are advised to avoid the area as emergency services attend to the incident.In a follow-up tweet, the university said individuals will be allowed back into the building once the area has been cleared.
It read: "Update - the area will be cleared and secured once the car is removed. Individuals will be allowed to enter the building to collect belongings once this has happened. Dalhousie Building remains closed for now." A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1pm on Tuesday, 6 December, 2022, police received a report of a car crashing into a building in the Park Wynd area of Dundee. Officers remain at the scene, as recovery is arranged.”READ NEXT:
