Residents reported hearing a loud bang at around 9.20pm last night
Residents in Currie Street and the surrounding areas were shocked to hear a loud bang at around 9.20pm yesterday after the stolen vehicle lost control and careered down an embankment before exploding into flames.
"Looks to have come to a halt on the path leading onto the secondary steps at Currie Street, where the vehicle has rapidly caught fire. Pieces of the car, including the bumper, remain at the scene but the vehicle itself was towed away after the fire was extinguished.
