Calling for homeless youth funding, state lawmakers urge congressional delegation to helpANCHORAGE, Alaska - As state senators urged Alaska’s congressional delegation Thursday to give school districts more time to access unused federal funds to help rising numbers of Alaska youth experiencing homelessness, leaders at an Anchorage homeless youth shelter say increased numbers mean they’ve had to turn away those seeking shelter.
