An investigation revealed the 28-year-old had allegedly met the 13-year-old girl through an online dating app before driving from Perris to pick her up in Colorado Springs and take her back to his residence. Orleans reportedly had a sexual relationship with the girl, despite knowing she was a minor, authorities said in a statement.
Orleans was arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor on May 28. He pleaded not guilty on June 1 to felony charges of kidnapping for child molestation, contacting a minor for sexual offenses and child abduction, court records show. A sheriff’s news release said the 13-year-old victim was taken into protective custody pending contact with her parental guardian. Details on how long she had been missing from her residence were not immediately available.
