Bronny James medically cleared to play in NBA, will play 5-on-5 at NBA Combine
Bronny James has been medically cleared to play in the NBA, according to ESPN, and is expected to participate in 5-on-5 scrimmages this week at the NBA Combine.
James was listed among the players for team St. Andrew’s that will compete beginning Tuesday at the NBA Combine in Chicago. “The NBA plans to inform teams Monday that the panel’s three physicians evaluated and unanimously approved James, sources said, allowing him to fully participate in this week’s pre-draft combine -- an important step to make a case to team executives about his viability as a 2024 prospect,”The 6-foot-4 James is not currently projected to be drafted next month, per ESPN, but now has a chance to impress scouts and decision-makers this week at the Combine.
Asked how much of a goal it was to play alongside Bronny in the NBA the way the Griffeys did in MLB, LeBron said last month, “I don’t know, I haven’t given much thought lately. I’ve thought about it in the past, but at the end of the day, the kid has to do what he wants to do.
