After falling behind many airlines in the important business class market, British Airways shows off a new seat it hopes will make it a favorite with those travelers willing to pay thousands of dollars per flight
as the only other two major international airlines that offer a fully enclosed seat in business class. Airlines such as Emirates, Etihad and Singapore Airlines have made suites enclosed with doors part of their first class offerings.The seat includes a vanity unit and mirror, 18.5-inch inflight entertainment screen, including, high-definition gate-to-gate programming, and power at all seats.
During this period another three A350 aircraft will join the British Airways fleet and two Boeing 777 aircraft will also be retrofitted with the new cabin. Beginning in 2020, the airline will roll out its Club Suite on further long-haul aircraft across the network.
