Most nearby galaxies are found to harbor central supermassive black holes whose masses are correlated with properties of the stellar components of their hosts . However, the details of how gas flows into the galactic nucleus from large cosmic distances and how the SMBH in turn imparts feedback into the galaxy remain coupled unresolved problems.
