The new connections, covering about 1 mile, will give Brecksville residents living on Glenwood and in the Blossom Hill area direct walking and biking access to the Metroparks’ Valley Parkway, south of Oakes Road, and to Ohio 82 to the north.
A third key element of the connection is a new sidewalk along Glenwood Trail -- which runs south-to-north from Oakes, across from Blossom Hill -- to Ohio 82, where sidewalks were recently installed during the roadway’s widening.told City Council in October that construction of the Blossom Hill trail and Oakes sidewalk is scheduled for 2023. The Glenwood sidewalk, a separate project, is part of a reconstruction of Glenwood that will start in January.
